Service Expansion: The WhatsApp ticketing system, initially launched on the Airport Express Line in June, is now available on all lines, including the Gurugram Rapid Metro in collaboration with Meta and their partner Pelocal Fintech Pvt. Ltd.

Accessibility: Commuters can purchase tickets for any destination within the Delhi Metro network via WhatsApp, providing a hassle-free option for securing their travel passes.

Convenience of WhatsApp Chatbot: To avail this service, passengers simply need to send a message with the text 'Hi' to +91 9650855800 on WhatsApp. The chatbot interface is available in both English and Hindi.

QR Ticketing: Users can generate up to six QR tickets in a single transaction, offering a flexible option for multiple passengers or journeys.

Operating Hours: Ticket booking is accessible between 6 am to 9 pm for all lines and from 4 am to 11 pm for the Airport Line (Orange Line).

Cancellation Policy: Ticket cancellations are not permitted through WhatsApp Ticketing.

Convenience Fee: A convenience fee will be applied for transactions made via credit/debit card, while UPI-based transactions will not incur any additional charges.

Enhanced Travel Experience: Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, emphasized that this initiative aims to significantly enhance the travel experience for metro commuters. The familiar WhatsApp platform makes purchasing a metro ticket as easy as messaging a friend or family member.

Meta's Perspective: Ravi Garg, Director of Business Messaging at Meta in India, highlighted their goal of simplifying transit experiences for WhatsApp users. This integration within WhatsApp chats aligns with their commitment to providing seamless services to millions of daily commuters.
